Berta is a 16 year old Labrador retriever who suddenly could not walk. She kept falling over and was so dizzy she could not eat. She had vestibular syndrome, causing balance loss which people can also get.
Berta was given a medicine that stopped her nausea and her owners handfed her. She also received acupuncture treatments from Dr. McTaggart which speeded up her recovery. After five days Berta started drinking on her own. After a week she started walking and eating! Thanks to her owner’s wonderful nursing care and dedication Berta is feeling better and back to her old self again.
