Dr. Adam Hering Veterinarian
Dr. Adam Hering was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta but fell in love with the west coast while attending summer camps on gabriola island as a kid. He attended vet school at the University of Calgary graduating in 2012 as part of their inaugural class at which time he moved to rural Alberta to practice mixed animal practice. He then moved to Saskatoon to attend grad school and follow his passion for wildlife conservation and management where he studied bison, and then bighorn sheep, completing his PhD in veterinary epidemiology in 2020. He worked as a part time veterinary locum throughout grad school and since graduation splits his time between small animal emergency work, small animal primary care work, and seasonal wildlife research and management programs.
When he’s not working he spends as much time as possible outdoors hiking, camping, kayaking, and enjoying quality time with his wife Kaitlin, their two dogs Scout and Glia, and their horses Roux and Belle.
